Studio 3 Arts works across the outer East London boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest. Covering a geographic area of 243 km/sq and with a population of over 860,000 this means that the range of communities and potential areas of work is very broad.
With vital regeneration initiatives already underway including large-scale schemes such as the Thames Gateway development and the prospect of the Olympics in 2012, the outer East London landscape is set to change dramatically in the near future. Studio 3 Arts aims to work sensitively with local people to create relevant arts programming that engages with the changing landscape and emerging issues that an influx of new business and communities will generate.
Studio 3 Arts works closely with the arts office and other key services in each of the boroughs it serves. The organisation also delivers projects that directly respond to individual borough priorities, including the environment, young people and mental health issues. Studio 3 Arts aims to deliver a wider programme of meaningful cross-borough projects in the future.
