Available for hire is our Studio space - 1207 sq ft on the top floor of Barking’s cultural industries building, on the bank of the River Roding. The Studio is bright – benefiting from windows on 3 sides – and well resourced with technology available to hire, including professional dance flooring, WiFi, digital projection, computers and cameras.

We offer a full catering service, from teas and coffees through to hot fork buffets, provided in partnership with the Maples Learning Disability Centre.

The Studio is a fully accessible, flexible space ideal for exhibitions, meetings, screenings, performances, conferences, rehearsals and teaching. The Studio is available daytimes, evenings and weekends, for one-off or regular bookings.

Friends of Studio 3 Arts is a membership exclusive scheme to supporters of Studio 3 Arts (registered charity number 1054793).

From £5 per year you can receive regular updates of our charitable work, and invitations to exclusive events: all with the knowledge that you are directly aiding the work we do, and supporting us to use art to make people’s lives better.

As someone who has followed our developments, I’m sure you’ll be pleased to know that you can now officially become a ‘friend’ of Studio 3 Arts! From as little as £5 you can receive regular updates of our charitable work, invitations to exclusive events and a range of other offers: all with the knowledge that you are directly aiding the work we do, and supporting us to use art to make people’s lives better.

In the current financial climate, we’re all feeling the pressure. As a registered charity reliant on grants and donations I’m sure you understand that we feel it more than most. In reality, it doesn’t take a great deal of money to make an enormous difference to the lives of the people we work with.

We know you believe in what we do, and we are honoured to share our journey with you.

Subscription levels

A: Follower at £5 per annum

- Invite to the AGM and to an exclusive performance for Friends of Studio 3 Arts (annually)

£5 provides a taxi journey for an elderly person to be able to attend a social event

B: Friend at £25 per annum
- All of A plus…
- Invitations to special events throughout the year including ‘Meet the Artists’ events and open rehearsals

£25 provides all the arts materials for a puppetry workshop for children with learning disabilities

C: Supporter at £50 per annum
- All of B plus…
- Discounts on hiring the studio space/music studio
- Discount card for selected partners (new partners being added all the time)

£50 provides 5 hours of studio engineer time to work with an up-and-coming young local musician

D: Patron at Over £100 per annum
- All of C plus…
- In this category we leave the donation amount up to you and in return you will receive a selection of the following:
- Opportunities to volunteer and experience our work first hand
- Advertising space in Studio 3 Arts programmes and posters
- Discounts on staff away days and training (either at The Malthouse Studios or at your company location)
- Acknowledgement in the annual report (optional)
- Personal updates on a Studio 3 Arts project/artform of your choice, in consultation with the Artistic Director.

£100 provides a training session for young gifted dancers to develop skills for a professional career in the arts

E: Company Supporter at over £250 per annum
If you’re an organisation wishing to support the work of Studio 3 Arts we also have an exclusive Studio 3 Arts Company Supporters scheme with the following benefits which you can enjoy, for donations over £250 per year:
- Regular newsletters in email or postal format focussed specifically on our partnership with your organisation
- Acknowledgement on the website and in the annual report (optional)
- Invitation to an exclusive networking event for Studio 3 Arts Company Supporters (annually)
- Special events throughout the year including ‘Meet the Artists’ events and invitations to open rehearsals
- 15% discount on hiring the studio space/music studio
- 15% discount on staff away days and training (either at The Malthouse Studios or at your company location)
- Advertising in any programme for Studio 3 Arts productions
- Sole sponsorship opportunities for events and projects

£250 provides 2 days of support from a professional fundraiser, or a public arts workshop in a community centre, or covers the expenses of a group of socially excluded adults to access our Volunteer Training Programme.
