IG11 Art Trail 2019
The trail is our way to celebrate Barking as a place rich with creativity; a place where artists live and make their work, and where great art and culture is available to everyone. For the next 6 weeks we’re showcasing the work of several incredible local artists in unexpected places, from residential windows to foyers of civic buildings.
Step by step on how to use Street Tag to scan the art trail’s artworks:
Install the Street Tag app and create a team/account
There can be up to 6 players in your team and you can participate as an individual
During the Street Tag experience, families record their distance walked by scanning virtual tags (and art trail QR code tags) with their smartphone at various locations, watching their total distance accumulate to climb up on the dedicated leaderboard, creating competition, being physically active in the process of art trailing, connecting deeply with various local services and people, an opportunity to engage in a fun playful experience, and earning prizes. Overall Street Tag will deliver physical active happiness to families during the art trail.
All the QR codes for the art trail are appearing on the app’s home screen, simply tap the camera on the top right corner on the Street Tag app to scan the QR code next to the artwork.
Virtual Tags are worth an average 10 points per tag on average. Once users are near/within a 40 meter radius of a virtual tag, the customer receives the points which help the player/team to move up the leaderboard. The art trail QR Code points are 500 points every time you scan them, higher than the virtual tag’s points.
Virtual Tags change colour to red and the QR tag colour change to black once they have been scanned, and cannot be scanned again for another hour, thus encouraging the family to explore other tags that are not yet scanned.
