A celebration of older people’s creativity 

Join a new friendly project for older adults in Barking and Dagenham. Studio 3 Arts is looking for people aged 55 and over to join Guild of Experience.

We will be running a series of events created by and for older people, which will involve:

  • Monthly committee meetings made up of older people

  • Masterclasses, trips and visits and training

  • Opportunities for artists to work in residence in care homes, sheltered housing and 1-2-1 with individual older people

  • The creation  of festival content; by, with, and for older people.

Why should you take part?

This is a network for everybody, especially if you or your friends would like to:

  •  Attend trips and visits to see and experience arts events and performances 

  • Meet new people and try new things

  • You or someone you know is housebound or a carer but want to have greater access to creativity and new people

  • You are an all-round organiser in your community

Older People’s Week

10am-2pm, FREE

There will be a number of activities and workshops throughout the day organised by Barking and Dagenham including dance, performances and information sharing about what is happening for over 55’s in Barking and Dagenham.

Plus come and hear our recently formed Singing Collective who will sharing a few songs on the day at 11.45am.

Twilight Tea Party

Broadway Theatre, Broadway, Barking IG11 7LS

Join us for a special Twilight Tea Party at the Broadway Theatre in Barking, as part of our ACE funded programme ‘The Guild of Experience’. 

There’ll be performances and cool stuff for older people to get involved in, as well as cakes, nibbles and cocktails, music, dj’s and performances by older artists.

Guild of Experience Committee Meetings

Studio 3 Arts at Unit 46, Vicarage Field Shopping Centre

October 30th/ November 20th/ December 11th

5pm - 7pm

 We are looking for anyone who would like to join the committee, no experience is necessary. We will meet monthly to steer the Guild of Experience project towards a final festival for older people. Meeting will consist of a range of activities including information sharing, workshop activities, planning and eating cake! You will not need to attend each meeting. We would like to involve a rage of people from all walks of life, interests and experiences in life.
