Studio 3 Arts

Celebrating 30 years of socially-engaged, co-created art

Waltham Forest council has commissioned Studio 3 Arts to do some 'Creative Placemaking' - investigation and research in Leyton and Leytonstone about creativity. We want to find out who, where, why and how creative stuff happens in these areas. And our version of ‘creative’ is VERY broad – we mean – nail art, hairdressing, tattooing, car-spraying, sculpture, fine art, writing music, playing an instrument, rapping, singing, floristry, dance gardening, carpentry, acting, writing, tailoring, dance, street art, designing, crafting….the list could go on and on. We want to be able to demonstrate that these are mega creative areas with lots of stuff going on, and make sure everyone knows about it.

So…..will you help us?

There’s a few ways you could help.

The easiest and quickest is – please fill out our mini survey about creativity.

Then – if you work from a public venue in Leyton or Leytonstone (a salon, café, library, garage, workshop etc), please consider having a ‘postbox’ in your space so that other people can fill in the survey. We’d supply the box (they’re very small) and the survey sheets and we would credit you as a project partner in our publicity.

Maybe you’d like some training to take a creative idea forward – business planning, social media, finance….let me know and I can arrange free bespoke training

Finally maybe you ‘d like to host an exhibition from a venue you are connected to (a salon, café, library, garage, workshop etc)….we’re look for spaces that are ‘not your typical gallery’, the more weird and wacky the better!

We'd love to buy you a cuppa and talk to you more about the project, let me know if you’d be interested.

Thanks so much for reading,
